BIO

I’m a Lawyer and manager at LVM Advogados, functions that I accumulate with the office of Director of the Porto headquarters of the law firm Martinez Echevarria & Ferreira. I have a Bachelor Degree in Law and an MBA from the School of Business Management of Universidade Católica Portuguesa. I am specialized in gender equality and domestic violence.I am Founder and General Coordinator of the Create Project Association (APC), association where I have embrace projects in the area of the defense and promotion of Women and Children Rights as for example with the  coordination of the MIME Project - Support for Children and Immigrant Women and Ethnic Minorities and the the Project GIAC - Interdisciplinary Group of Support to the Child and of the VITA Project, whose objective was the intervention in the fight against Gender Violence and the administration of specialized training,  GIAC II Project and the MORE + Program, supported by the Secretariat of State for Citizenship and Equality.

I have been a member of the Portuguese Association of Women Lawyers (APMJ) since 2003, where I have assumed the office of coordinator of the project "Dare to Overcome Violence in the Family" 

I was a member of the Human Rights Commission of the Portuguese Bar Association (triennium 2014-2017), a Social Judge in the Oporto Region, Info-Point in the Council of Europe - Program HELP28 where representing the Bar Association and I have also take part in the National Monitoring Committee of the INASC Project (Improving needs assessment and victim support in domestic violence related criminal proceedings) led by CESIS - Center for Studies on Social Intervention.

 Since 2014 I have been a jury in the oral examinations of CEJ - Judicial Studies Center, where I have also trained future judges and prosecutors in the subject of "International Family Law".

I am the co-author of a good practice manuals for trainers and legal practitioners, edited respectively by the RUMOS Program - Equality Project for All, APMJ and APC. 

I have written several articles on family law, international abduction of children under the Hague Convention, domestic violence, gender equality and trafficking in human beings. 

I am a chronicler of the Capazes Platform and a consultant in the Lexis Project, forming judicial operators in the area of ​​domestic violence. 

I have also been recognized with the Lopes Cardoso Prize awarded by the Portuguese Bar Association.
